The UEFA EURO 2024 group stage is just about to start. More precisely, the first match between Germany and Scotland is scheduled for June 14th.

For now, let’s focus on the EURO 2024 group betting predictions and the most valuable bets to place ahead of the first kickoff.

I decided to go with individual overviews and predictions for each of the six groups. So, naturally, let’s start with group A!

EURO 2024 Group A Betting Predictions

Group A features the following national teams:

• Germany

• Scotland

• Hungary

• Switzerland

As mentioned earlier, the EURO 2024 first match is between Germany and Scotland. If the Scots manage to take a point away from the Germans, EURO 2024 Group A will become chaotic in an instant.

Group Overview

Group A is interesting, but I think we can all agree Germany is going to take the top spot. Yes, I know they had mishaps in recent years.

But, hear me out - they now rely on several world-class youngsters in Musiala and Wirtz, coupled with an army of experienced veterans. Plus, don’t even get me started on the home-turf advantage.

Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland will be in a wicked battle for the second spot. It could go anyone’s way, really.

But, if history has taught us anything, it’s that the first match counts a ton. That said, if any team comes out on top of Hungary vs Switzerland, it will have a massive advantage coming into the third round.

Predictions

• Germany to win group A at 1.40

It doesn’t get any simpler than this. At 1.40, this is by far the cleanest option for group A. The Germans had their fair share of group stage exits recently, but there’s no way it’s going to happen here again.

• Scotland to finish bottom of group A at 2.10

This is a slightly riskier bet, but one that could easily pay off. Coming into the tournament, Scotland is one of the lowest rated teams out there.

While they do have Robertson and McTominay, who usually give their 120% for their national team, I can see them finishing bottom of the group with just one or even zero points to their tally. 

EURO 2024 Group B Betting Predictions

Now let’s check out group B. It will offer a much more interesting fight for the top two spots, with just one weak link in the mix and no big favorite ahead of the first round of clashes.

• Spain

• Croatia

• Italy

• Albania

Spain will open the tournament up against Croatia, while Italy will fight for three important points against unlucky Albania.

Group Overview

Group A kicks off with the replay of last EURO’s round of 16 clash between Croatia and Spain. This is going to be the key matchup for both teams as they’re eyeing the top spot.

But, Italy is in the mix too. The current title holders want to repeat their EURO 2020 glory, but this time in a group that’ll be much more difficult to tackle.

When looking at group B as a whole, it’s obvious that Albania had the poorest luck of the draw out there. There’s no way they won’t end up dead last after the three fixtures.

In fact, that’s going to be my first EURO 2020 group betting prediction for this group. 

Predictions

• Albania to finish bottom at 1.35

There’s no doubt about this one. Albania is going to finish dead last in the group. I honestly can’t see them take any points in Germany.

They might snatch a point and ruin someone’s playoff chances, but there’s no way they’ll move from the last spot. At 1.35, I really appreciate the value here.

• Croatia to finish top 2 at 1.70

Croatia is always one of the potent dark horses. They’ve shown us time and time again that they mean business. Perhaps not in the EUROs as much as the World Cups. 

But still, they’re in a group with Spain and Italy, teams who they’ve played a lot of matches against on recent competitions.

In fact, Croatia played against Italy and Spain on EURO 2012 and missed out on the playoffs. This time around, I reckon the Croats will have their revenge.

EURO 2024 Group C Betting Predictions

Group C has a totally different picture. England is the top dog and is a clear-cut contender for the top spot. The rest of the pack, however, have equal chances of going through to the playoffs.

• Slovenia

• Denmark

• Serbia

• England

Group C Overview

Group C kicks off on June 16 with Slovenia vs Denmark at 18:00 and then Serbia vs England at 21:00. The latter is going to be the prime match of the day, with the winner of the two likely going to cement its way at the top of the group.

Obviously, England is the prime favorite, no doubt there. Southgate has way too many brilliant players. The Three Lions will be led by the likes of Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden, among several other prolific youngsters.

And while Serbia and Denmark both have quality teams, I doubt they’ll be able to endanger England on its way to the top of group C.

Predictions

• England to Win Group C at 1.40

It’s no secret that England is one of the main favorites to win the entire tournament.

That said, it’s only logical for them to be the main contenders for winning group C. I’ll even dare to say they’re the primary EURO 2024 group betting option. 

At 1.40, there’s not much else that has to be said about this one. The Three Lions are a shoo-in for winning this group.

• Serbia to finish top 2 at 2.15

Let’s face it, Serbia has the best schedule coming into the EURO. They’re set to face off against England in the first fixture, followed by Slovenia and Denmark.

Even if they get just 1 point from the first two matches, chances are a win against Denmark will push Serbia all the way to the second place. At 2.15, you have to fancy their chances here.

EURO 2024 Group D Betting Predictions

It’s time to check out what group D has to offer. Remember, we’re only focusing on group-based bets here.

Group Overview

Back to group D! France stands a mile high as the favorite. They don’t really have any proper competition, really, other than the Netherlands.

But, the Netherlands have been a big hit-and-miss. I honestly don’t know how to feel about their team.

Let’s jump straight into EURO 2024 group betting predictions!

Predictions

• France to win group D at 1.55

France to win the group is a shoo-in and quite a valuable one for that matter. At 1.55, you just have to fancy Mbappe and the co’s chances of sliding into the playoffs.

The French team has massive depth, at least 2 world-class players in each position, and it would be a miracle to see them miss out on the top spot in this group.

• Austria to finish top 2 at 2.25

Here’s another bold 2024 EURO group betting prediction - Austria to come out on top against the Netherlands and Poland. Ralf Rangnick is a proper professional.

Despite a bit of a sticky issue with Manchester United, this strategist is going to make waves with Austria on the EURO, mark my words.

EURO 2024 Group E Betting Predictions

Based on recent stats I’ve managed to dig up, Group E is the weakest of all groups. Belgium should have a walk in the park against its competitors, even with Lukaku hitting posts left and right. 

• Belgium

• Slovakia

• Romania

• Ukraine

Group Overview

Obviously, Belgium still has a big chunk of its golden generation in the mix. The likes of Lukaku, Carrasco, and of course Kevin de Bruyne are all there. Their defense is superb, having finished the qualifiers with only 4 conceded goals. 

But, they are a shaky side. Let’s not forget how they got eliminated in the group stage of the Qatar World Cup. For that reason, I suggest the following:

Predictions

• Romania to win Group E at 7.00

Before you say I belong in a mental institution, allow me to elaborate. Yes, I know Romania has one of the weakest teams coming into the tournament.

Yes, I know they don’t have any flashy names and are one of the most “mixed” squads out there. 

But, they’re still cohesive. They still managed a superb qualifiers run that ended up with 22 points and on top of their group. They’re clinical, compact, and cohesive. They could give Belgium a headache.

• Ukraine to finish top 2 at 2.20

Ukraine to finish top 2 is a proper steal. We already saw this Ukrainian team beat the odds in the last minutes. Let’s not forget that brilliant comeback against Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They were a goal behind after 85 minutes, only to score two goals and advance to the final stage of the qualifiers.

EURO 2024 Group F Betting Predictions

Last but not least, group F! It’s another fairly easy group that could get complicated right after the first round. 

• Turkey

• Georgia

• Portugal

• Czech Republic

Group Overview

According to Winz.io sportsbook odds, Portugal is the primary favorite. No surprises there.

But, what might be surprising to some is the fact that Turkey is considered the likeliest runner-up at 5.00.

According to my experience, the first round will be crucial. If Turkey can snatch all three points against tough-to-crack Georgia, they’ll be a shoo-in for the second position.

Even if they lose to Portugal in the second round, Turkey has a clear shot at the second (or even the first) place against the Czech Republic in the final round.

Predictions

• Turkey to finish top 2 at 1.80

Turkey has a fantastic mixture of youth and experience in their starting eleven. Their bench is solid too, which should allow them to finely juggle between formations ahead of the first and last group stage match.

Even if they lose against Portugal, this Turkish team should be more than capable of dealing with the likes of Georgia and the Czech Republic.

• Czech Republic to finish bottom at 4.50

I know Georgia is the outsider in group F, but at 4.50, we’re looking at a highly valuable bet here. Georgia could easily snatch all three points against the Czech Republic. If that does happen, a 4.50 return will be all yours.
